Welcome

Hello! Please, let me introduce myself. My name is Samuel Iglesias Gonsálvez, I am a Spanish guy who born in Principado de Asturias, a region in the north of Spain. Now, I'm living in Prévessin-Moëns, France.

I am a Telecommunications Engineer from Universidad de Oviedo (Spain) with Bachelor and Masters Degree. Nowadays, I'm a PhD student in "Control de procesos, electrónica industrial e ingeniería eléctrica" while I'm working at CERN in Switzerland.

My professional interests are Unix programming, digital signal processing, embedded systems, telecommunications... My ideal job will be developing free software in one of these interest areas or at least, using free software to develop.

I'm particularly interested in new technologies, free software and GNU/Linux, as you can read in my personal blog. But I also like the photography, football, go hiking and travel abroad when I can.

Linux User

I am a GNU/Linux user since 2005, it's my primary operating system since mid-2005.

Also, I'm a board member of regional linux user group called AsturLiNUX. Also, I am member of IEEE. I usually write Unix-related posts in my blog and I make some speechs (in Spanish) introducing GNU/Linux for other people.
